The aims of Ceredigion Actif, which is the county council service with responsibility for leading on sport and leisure provision, reflect those of the county council as well as those of a range of other bodies.
Ceredigion County Council seeks to promote and enhance the health and well-being of the county for the benefit of current and future generations.
Ceredigion Actif and other local providers of sporting and physical activity opportunities have a key role to play in successful achievement of these aims and the development of skills for a life in sport by following a community focused sport and activity pathway.
Our ambition is that by 2020 every child and young person will undertake a minimum of 5x60 minute sessions of activity every week and every adult will be doing a minimum of 5x30 minute sessions. This is in line with the national guidance on healthy lifestyles.
