Fitness Suite Opening Times

Fitness Suite Induction

Our informative and friendly induction programme will guide you through how to competently use the equipment and get the most out of your training sessions.

Induction lasts up to 1 hour and will include:

  • medical screening questionnaire
  • advice on safe and effective use of the equipment
  • advice on general training and getting the most out of your workout

For further information call your local leisure centre to book an appointment.

Induction costs £15.00 for non-members.

Exercise Classes

Would you please note that the following Exercise classes have been cancelled for the Summer and will restart during September 2017.

Day Class Time
Monday Early Morning Spin Blast Cycle Class followed by a free swim * 07.30 - 08.15 This is a great way to start the day with an average 400-600 calories burnt on the bike followed by a refreshing swim free of charge.
  Low Impact Gym Class * - £2.50 10.00 - 11.00 A gym based class led by one of our friendly qualified instructors. Whether you are new to exercise or are returning from a long break this class will slowly ease you back on track. This is an ideal starter class for novice and elderly exercise participants, with an instructor present to guide you.
  Young Gyms (14-16 years) * - £2.00 15.45 - 16.45 Young Gyms offers a chance for youngsters aged 14-16 to experience the gym environment under the supervision of our qualified instructors.
  Spin Cycle class * 17.45 - 18.30 Pedal for fitness and for fun in this challenging indoor cycling workout. Combine speed and power to climb hills and sprint as fast as you can to burn calories and condition your body from head to toe.
  Step Aerobics * 18.15 - 19.15  
  Strength & Conditioning Fitness Class * 19.15 - 20.00

  Spin Class * 17.15 - 18.00 This 45 minute class is perfect for the busy person! Spinning is one of the best ways of improving your fitness and for all over muscle tone. The classes differ from week to week from hill climbs to sprints.
  HIIT Class * 17.45 - 18.30  
  Powerhoop * 18.45 - 19.30 Fitness training with a "twist"! Fun, effective training for the core muscles in your waist, abdomen and lower back. Tones the muscles in your buttocks, hips and thighs. Burns up to 360 calories per hour. Reduces lower back pain and stiffness.
  Aqua Aerobics * - £26.00 for 5 weeks
New class starting 11/07/2017!
20.00 - 20.45 Course must be booked and paid for in advance (there will be no class on Tuesday 1st August 2017).
Aqua Aerobics uses the natural resistance and buoyancy of water against your body to provide a wide variety of conditioning activities. Water exercises will help increase your energy, stamina and strength.
  Ladies Only Strength & Conditioning Class * 20.00 - 20.45  
Wednesday Early Morning Spin Blast Cycle Class followed by a free swim * 07.30 - 08.15 Start your day off right with this high energy cycling class. Head out on a journey without leaving the spin room using fast flats, steady hills, sprints and interval training. Followed by a refreshing swim.
  Lunchtime Strength & Conditioning Class * 12.30 - 13.15
  Low impact Exercise class * - £2.50 13.00 - 14.00 An exercise class in the sports hall led by one of our friendly qualified instructors. Whether you are new to exercise or are returning from a long break this class will slowly ease you back on track. This is an ideal starter class for novice and elderly exercise participants, with an instructor present to guide you.
  PiYo * 17.30 - 18.15 Sweat, Stretch and Strengthen - all in one workout! This unique total-body conditioning workout inspired by the muscle-sculpting, core-firming benefits of Pilates and the strength and flexibilty training of flowing yoga movements.
  Kettlercise * 18.30 - 19.15 Pre Booking Recommended. The single most effective kettlebell fat burning exercise class, that uses the BSM (Blood Shunting Method) which is desinged to reshape and sculpt the body like never before.
Thursday Spin Cycle Class * 17.15 - 18.00 Pedal your way to a leaner, stronger body with this 45minute intense spin cycle class.
  Boxercise * 17.15 - 17.45 A boxing training based class taught in a circuit’s environment. Hit the pads and jump the rope into a new leaner, more defined you!
  Circuits Training * 18.00 - 19.00 Our second circuit’s class of the week includes multiple exercise stations focusing on specific muscle areas and components of fitness to give you an all over calorie busting exercise!
Friday Early Morning Spin Blast Cycle Class followed by a free swim * 07.30 - 08.15 Get your Friday started with a ride that will get you in “the zone!” This class will challenge your strength and endurance to great music! Get a jump start to your weekend and feel energized after your free swim!

Charges

  • 1 Hour class - £5.15
  • 3/4 Hour class - £4.30
  • 1/2 Hour Class - £3.30

All activities are pre payment/booking only due to high interest

Our soft play zone offers an affordable and safe environment for your children to play, make friends and create lasting memories. The ball pools, crash mats and obstacle courses will keep even the most energetic child entertained.
